As a side note I have used canned biscuits well past the expiration, as long as the can is intact. I just cooked some that expired in June, they weren't quite as fluffy but they were otherwise fine. I have never tried but some say you can take them out of the can and freeze them in a Ziploc, just thaw in refrigerator prior to cooking. Or...cook them and then freeze them and thaw as needed. If none of these options appeal to you, you can always give them to friends and neighbors.

Also...I have confirmed (in Conroe at 105 & 336) that they are doubling and tripling more than three like coupons in a single transaction. WOOOOHOOOO! I have tried as many as 12 in a single transaction with no problem.
Hey, remember that awesome recipe that girl did at my Pampered Chef party using the crescent rolls? Well, this might be a good time to use it. I bet your kids would love it. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the recipe was something like this: Cook some chicken breasts, cool, then cut into small bite size pieces. Mix them with chopped tomatoes, a small amount of chopped onion and some cream cheese. Then spread this on the crescent rolls and roll them up and bake them. I may have left something out but this was basically what it was. I remember because I had to prepare the food that night. I've cooked them since and used the above recipe and they tasted great!
ReplyDeleteAnother good use of the biscuits is to make them into a type of Klobeschnicke. Use the crescent rolls and roll up a nice lean sausage link (already cooked and drained of fat) with some cheese and bake that. You can use cocktail sausages or Polish Kielbase.
